1. Have a drink.
Or 2. Or 7. Whatever it takes to unwind a bit from the effects of work relief and the blizzard.
2. Watch a movie
How often do you just get to sit and enjoy watching a movie? Nothing to distract you, because let's face it- the snow has shut down the east coast right now.
3. Build a snowman.
Or a snow family, but definitely go out and play! Even if you can't get the snow packed tight enough to build, find a dog and throw some snow around for it to catch. Trust me, they'll love it and it'll bring you joy.
4. Snuggle up!
It's cold. Duh. Grab a buddy, blanket, or booze and snuggle up tight! Hunker down!
5. Bake a cake.
Baking always warms your heart. So warm up the house as well and get your apron on! It's fun, and the end result is rewarding.
6.Take a bubble bath.
Might as well try to relax since we're all snowed in for a few days anyway. Light a few candles, bring a glass of wine in, and soak up the bubbly softness.
7. Clean out your closet.
Let's be honest. You've been meaning to do it for a long time now, but just "haven't had time." Yeah, I know, me too. Well now is the perfect time! Also, there's an app, like the one Cher in Clueless has to match up outfits! Put all your clothing items into the app and.... Never again will you not know what to wear!
8. Play Games!
Monopoly, Chinese checkers, ping pong, Wii. Whatever it is, have some fun!
9. Binge on Netflix.
I've got like 5 seasons of PLL to catch up on, you know you've got a guilty pleasure too.
10. Color a picture.
Those intensely detailed coloring books take time when you really put the effort into it. It's also oddly therapeutic.
11. Catch up on Skype dates!
How many times a day/week/month do we think "wow I miss so-and-so, but I just don't have time and we live so far away." Well- here's your chance! Skype 'em up!
12. Online Shopping.
The benefit to cleaning out your closet is now you have room for more! Better get to filling those empty hangers!
13. Catch up on your beauty rest.
Nap, nap, nap. Studies show naps improve brain power! That's reason enough for me.
